The purpose of this work is the development of the theory of the projections operators in inner product spaces, which is a concept of extreme importance in the study of the Functional Analysis. The projection operator in normed spaces and inner product spaces are defined, their topological properties are studied, as well as those properties referring to operations with orthogonal projections.
