The study analyzes the viability of using various artificial intelligence tools in the processes of the Special Labor Jurisdiction in Panama, highlighting their importance in the context of the urgent need to modernize the judicial and administrative structure of the labor sphere. It emphasizes that digitalization and automation represent innovative mechanisms that optimize procedures, reduce processing times, and improve the quality of judicial services, directly benefiting users of this jurisdiction.
The research examines the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the administration of justice, contextualizing it in a setting where labor conflicts affect social peace and require efficient responses. It also evaluates the reality of the parties involved in labor relations and the need to incorporate technologies that address their demands, through the establishment of clear objectives and the analysis of the current state, benefits, risks, and proposed improvements.
The study further reviews essential concepts such as predictive analysis and information extraction, taking into account international and regional experiences that could be adapted in Panama. It analyzes the legal framework and the training of judicial and administrative operators, identifying digital and ethical gaps. Finally, it warns about the risks associated with the irresponsible use of algorithms and biases, underscoring the necessity of an ethical approach that ensures efficiency, transparency, and access to justice within the Special Labor Jurisdiction.
