Abstract

This research has the purpose of showing how risky it is for a construction worker to work at heights since control must be maintained on the equipment. The objective of this research is to implement programs, indications for the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to analyze safety at heights, focused on falls. The methods that were used were descriptive and explanatory, since this is a subject where there is not so much information, and through these methods it will be possible to visualize a brief overview with respect to accidents at heights, by workers. It is shown in the results that in the province of Veraguas some workers do not use, for the most part, PPE that are provided by the administration. It was concluded that construction workers must do their part, since they do not use several personal protection elements, therefore companies must encourage these people to use these elements, by their will so that in this way they do not they find more accidents in the heights.
