Abstract

Today the educational environment has undergone an acceleration in terms of the use of tools that new technologies present to us, this due to the impact caused by the health situation that shocks the world. Problem that is not exclusive only to our country Panama but is evidenced to a lesser or greater degree in all countries and especially the countries of the Central American region. In recent years, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at the service of education have been increasing, introducing in educational processes with positive results, tools that make differences between students and teachers, based on response systems personal, where the active participation and interaction of the actors is encouraged, as is the case of socrative. The evolution of this type of methodology based on gamification, has allowed the
participation in real time of the students answering questions posed through an electronic device. The present work aimed to assess the usefulness, complexity, and functionality of Socrative as an evaluation tool for different educational contexts. For this, and after an exhaustive bibliographic review on the software, its interface, management, use and management, as well as the analysis of practical cases, it was possible to support that the use of
the software is viable and functional for teaching activities at any educational level. as an evaluation tool and its contribution to the construction of knowledge and improvement of learning.
