Abstract

The present investigation studied the evaluation of the GPON network services in the parish Barreiro Viejo, analyzing the evolution of telecommunications networks, initiated with the telephone, passing through the PON network and currently the GPON variant, which offers networks of great performance and performance, but due to the large number of users and services connected online, their services are affected even presenting network saturation problems. To demonstrate the results, a field study was carried out with a sample of 358 inhabitants of the total population of 5257. The results were chosen at random, resulting in 29% indicating that the network has an optimal performance and quality of service. as in customers without problems that show us results by 19.40%, but with a limitation that customers with problems indicates a measurement of 10.26 Gbps over 10 Gpbs, exceeding the maximum capacity evidencing a saturation of the network, especially at peak hours, which means that the service will be slow or there will be no service, affecting user satisfaction, which can make decisions such as changing internet providers, meaning losses of customers that affect the economic income of the CNT company, as users would migrate to another telecommunications company that guarantees a quality service, additionally, it can acquire services from The company offers such as fixed and mobile telephony, cable television, which will mean greater economic losses. Finally, the conclusions of the present investigation are exposed to promote new questions susceptible of future investigations.
