: Pedestrians are an important group in the chain of use of public roads and in cities they should be given priority in the design of pedestrianization and through the implementation of traffic lights. The present study analyzes the behavior and the tendencies in the pedestrian crossings of line 1 of the subway, specifically in the Great Station of San Miguelito. A mapping of pedestrian mobility using film cameras for a period of 45 minutes. Two cameras were placed filming at high points; one on the first stop and the other on the waiting platform of the subway station. The recordings were made from 11:40 a.m. m. at 12:25 p. m., schedule in which there is a considerable flow of people. From a total of 1824 pedestrians who traveled For the sector studied, 61.4% pass through the crosswalks correctly. The study classified walking behavior based on gender.
