Due to population growth, the main roads of the city are affected by the uncontrolled increase of motor vehicles, generating traffic jams for several hours of the day. Public transport has been increasing in quality and number of services thanks to the subway, but there is still a need to improve road safety and street rolling infrastructure to also offer space to other alternative means of mobility such as cycling. The present work proposes bike paths built by stage: firstly, it suggests the connection of the Central campus of the University of Panama (UP) with the subway stations Iglesia del Carmen and Vía Argentina. Subsequently, it suggests a group of bicycle paths that connect the recreational, tourist, economic and commercial sectors of greater public attendance with the public transport system, especially the Panama metro.
