Abstract

The following article aims to publicize the behavior of pedestrians in the area of 50 Street and Av. José de la Cruz at Panama City and evaluate which factors affect the pedestrian flow in this sector. The observation process was carried out through videos which allowed us to count the pedestrians who passed through this area at three different hours of the day and thus be able to obtain trajectories and pedestrian busiest hours. As a result, we were able to capture a total of 869 pedestrians throughout the established hours, the busiest area was the main street 50 St., while the one with the least traffic is Av. José de la Cruz. In addition, the time range with the highest pedestrian intensity was from 8:00 to 9:00am and the least after noon from 11:30am to 12:30pm.
