Public spaces must be meeting places, so they must provide environmental well-being offered by elements such as green areas and vegetation or trees. The present work develops an analysis of shadows in the district of La Chorrera, province of Panamá West taking into account a study area that includes public spaces such as: Plaza Italia, Parque Libertador and Parque Feuillet. In addition, is carried out a study of the site through maps and a survey of resident of the neighborhood. As a result, the lack of vegetation was observed in one of the most relevant public spaces within the sector, such as Plaza Italia, which lacks green cover or systematically located trees for the effective projection of shadows.
