The objective of this research is to offer a selection and evaluation criteria tool that allows making a better decision regarding land selection, in this case for markets. The selection criteria cover characteristics that can benefit the user, such as nearby stops with greater intensity of use and greater urban footprint. Furthermore, to evaluate these selected lands, parameters of accessibility, connectivity, footprint per total population, robustness and urban vitality were established. In this study, 5 plots of land in North Panama were selected and evaluated, of which the one located in La Cabima in front of the Vía Transístmica, obtained a score of 9.6/10 and according to the evaluation scale, it is characterized as “very efficient” to develop the project.
