It is increasingly difficult to ignore the quality of public spaces within urban centers, as the lack of adequate green spaces has a negative effect on the environment, well-being, and ways of socializing the neighbors. [1] Public green spaces play an important role in cities because they improve the health and well-being of their inhabitants while reducing environmental and thermal impact, especially when green areas are incorporated.
In this study we analyzed the public spaces: sidewalks, parks, within Ave. 3 to East and Ave. 4 to East, where the Miguel de Cervantes Park is in the central area of David, in the predominantly commercial and institutional uses of various heights. The area was studied using maps of existing conditions using tools such as Google Earth [2], it was found that the current site conditions lack sufficient public spaces and arborization in the area near the center, being an unfit place and not comfortable for pedestrians in the area.
