The objective of the research is to propose guidelines for the Caraguatatuba Macrodrainage Plan and based on green infrastructure to minimize the water impacts derived from the inefficiency of the drainage system, the study site is the Pontal de Santa Marina, the data from the Research was obtained through bibliographic surveys, such as scientific articles, dissertations and books, in addition to the archives made available by the city council. The study area has a low slope, an insufficiently sized drainage system, sedimentation of the drainage ditches and bottlenecks in the Ribeirão da Lagoa section, during a visit to the site, several spots of standing water were identified, as well as an excessive amount of sand in the stretch permeable pavement, so the solutions found are the clearing of infiltration ditches, the creation of detention basins for both the Ribeirão da Lagoa backwater and for channel 1, the maintenance of permeable pavements and the use of the basins for the creation of leisure areas.
