Abstract

The Notary in Panamá, develops a delegated public function by the Executive Body, to give public faith to certain acts and instruments, so they are reliable before third parties. In this sense, within the framework of the advanced directive document regulated by Executive Decree No, 1458 of November 6, 2012, the Notary’s participation in this document is for the purpose of attesting publicly to the veracity of the document, for the subsequent implications that it entails, because, as stated in article 1727 of our Civil Code, the law deposits public faith in the Notary regarding the acts and contracts that must pass before him.
