Abstract

One of the most outstanding features of Information and Communication Technologies in education is the design of multisensory methods that enhance perception and make learning meaningful. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality are technologies that allow enhancing the forms of perception and assimilation of knowledge by placing them in experiential, pleasant, playful and interactive learning as emerging forms of academic training at any level. This article is a qualitative, documentary, descriptive research of the ways of application of the mentioned tools in the educational process in different disciplines and that can also be applied for the benefit of the Panamanian society. The documents were obtained from the Internet and analyzed within the outstanding educational characteristics of each of the digital tools used. The main conclusion is the need for teachers to adapt to the scenarios that allow digital technologies.
