This article intends an approach to the concept of science from the ideas of the logical positivism of Ayer, Popper and Bunge. The contrast of ideas is set based in their opinions on what is science and what is knowledge; the relevance of language; the discussion between objectivity and subjectivity and the importance of method. From this comparative exercise we can observe not only the distinctions and similarities between these authors, but the evolution of positivism itself. It is concluded that positivism is a current of thought that enriches the debate in science.
