Abstract

The objective of this article is to determine the emotional influence that resilience has on students from different faculties at the San Miguelito Regional University Center. The research is framed in a non-experimental, field and descriptive level design. The study population is one hundred thirty-nine (139) students who attend different faculties of the Regional University Center of San Miguelito, the sample was census type, as it corresponded to the number of one hundred thirty-nine (139) students that represents 100% of the population. To collect information, a Resilience Test was used, determined through the survey technique with the instrumental support of the questionnaire, which was structured in two (2) sections: a. Personal competence, and b. acceptance of self and life. In this regard, the study concludes that there is a positive relationship between personal competencies and acceptance of self and life in students to face the challenges of university life. Indicators such as good self-esteem, self-control and self-confidence show how good management of their emotions influences the resilience of the university students surveyed.
