This article analyzes how an educational communication approach centered on dialogue and historical memory contributed to building a culture of peace at the Ignacio Yepes Yepes Educational Institution, located in the municipality of Remedios, Antioquia, a region historically affected by the Colombian armed conflict. The research was conducted using a qualitative, interpretive approach, grounded in the critical social paradigm and the Educational Action Research method. Data collection methods included narrative interviews, participant observation, focus groups, and field notes. The voices, perceptions, and perspectives of parents, students, teachers, and other members of the community informed the design of educational communication workshops aimed at reflecting on peace, conflict, forgiveness, reconciliation, and the main acts of violence experienced in the region. The findings revealed the presence of resilient attitudes and a collective capacity to reframe pain, strengthen values, and reject non-peaceful practices. It is concluded that the pedagogy of memory, supported by inclusive technological resources, fostered empathy, emotional management of suffering, and critical understanding of the past, contributing to non-repetition and the strengthening of a culture of peace in communities situated in conflict contexts.
