Abstract

Deontology is part of ethics, which deals with the duties and principles that affect Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The relationship between ethics and computer science is due to the impact of information and communication technologies in today's society, deontology is located between morality and law, are the rules that must be followed. This article is a documentary review on ethics and professional deontology, standards of deontological-computer codes and professional associations dedicated to the study of computer ethics, which try to govern the ethical-moral problems that may occur in the digital world, since networks and cyberspace has produced a revolution, where the ethical component is fundamental for the totality of the actions and relationships of the human being in the post-information era. Computer ethics provides guidelines on the appropriate way to act when there is no regulation or when the existing one is obsolete, ethical codes are a supplement to the law, for those of us who are involved in teaching computer ethics is a challenge, since we are committed to educating with ethical awareness and contributing to this new and growing information society.
