Abstract

This research was carried out in 2013, and it started with the thought that the world is changing, we live immersed in the knowledge and information society, so it is necessary to integrate Communication and Information Technologies (ICT) in our lives, in order to acquire the skills required by today's society, which correspond to digital literacy and learn to use them correctly and efficiently as instruments for the learning orientation process. In today's world of work we find four (4) generations that live with a maximum difference of 51 years and include those born before 1946 or traditional, those born between 1946 and 1964 or “Baby boomers”, born between 1964 and 1976, the members of "Generation X" and those born between 1977 and 1997 the Net Generation. The current generation of participants has been born with new technologies and their way of acquiring knowledge is different and novel, which constitutes a challenge for the facilitators, who belong to the generations of digital migrants. Traditional educational systems are not suitable for these current students. Education and learning are required to be modified and keep pace with the accelerated development of the information society. Penas C. (2002) consulted by Caneiro R. (2008).
