Abstract

The present article is an essay of reflection, which has allowed the authors to highlight some situations that occurred during the challenging moments of the pandemic by COVID- 19, which demanded decision-making from their positions and duties to guarantee the safe in-person return of the administrative staff of the University of Panama.

Although there were indeed many changes, adjustments, and lessons learned due to the pandemic, work from home was probably the most relevant decision of the governments to continue working life and respond in some way to the economy. Restarting the academic duties of the University of Panama required the return of administrative workers to their positions. One of the concerns was the return to non-virtuality amid positive cases, deaths, fears, and losses.
