Abstract

This article contains the performance evaluation process from the perception of the competition management model in hospital companies in Panama. The population was twelve hospital companies in the country. We qualified the perception of the model in the collaborators with hierarchy using a Likert scale. The results showed that there is no statistically significant relationship between the performance evaluation process and the model. The evaluation process was not satisfactory, while the perception of the collaborators of the process was favorable regarding the arguments of the Management by Competencies model. The proposal was a change program framed in organizational development based on competencies.
