Abstract

Warehouse logistics management and inventory control is crucial for Finca Montenegro, a farming and livestock operation in Bocas del Toro, Panama. This article analyzes key issues such as disorganized storage spaces, inefficient manual inventory tracking, and workplace safety risks. Through a mixed-methods approach (quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, and direct observation), the research proposes an integrated solution combining QR-code digitalization, Lean Warehousing principles, and 5S methodology training. Results indicate that these strategies could reduce inventory losses by 25%, improve item retrieval efficiency by 35%, and decrease workplace accidents by 40%. The project demonstrates how low-cost technological and organizational interventions can enhance operational sustainability in small-to-medium farms, offering a replicable model for similar agricultural contexts.
