Abstract

Within the market studies and economic potential of an individual, company and geographic jurisdictions it is important to use appropriate software for spatial analysis, such as OpenGeoda.

In the case of Panama, a database of the provincial gross domestic product (GDP) of Panama was used, extracting some illustrative maps of the variables of production and the labor market in Panama. In the same way, we worked with an inverse matrix and we could illustrate and calculate the Moran index.

The software allowed us to work spatial econometrics models that can be appreciated from a minimum ordinary square to dynamic models in a spatial and regional analysis in Panama.
