Abstract

The study of the economic sectors of a region is an indispensable tool to know the different elements that affect the economy of a country. The analysis by linear regression or higher order allows us to determine the degree of relationship that has one variable with respect to another. In this paper, we study the relation of the development of a sector with the increase or decrease ofthe general wealth of a nation. The sector selected for the study is Transport, Storage and Communications. For Panama, where much of its economy focuses on the transportation of goods and people, being aninternational logistics center; As well as the storage of products and to a lesser extenttelecommunication, a study of this type could yield numerous new and valuable data for deeperand more specialized analysis. This study was based on real GDP growth, based on 2007, of the Republic of Panama and on thegrowth of the selected sector, during the years 2000 to 2015.
