Abstract

The objective of this work is to determine the pH of the rainwater in the Huatanay sub-basin in the rainy months of the years 2019-2020, through rainfall monitoring with pH meters installed in 10 points. The results show basic acidity of the rains, possibly due to the dispersion of these gases by prevailing winds. Digital pH meters were used to measure pH (use of the potentiometer); to corroborate the results, gas analyzer equipment (Aeroqual S500) was used to measure Sulfur Dioxide SO2, Nitrogen Dioxide NO2, by means of the GSE (gas sensitive electrochemical) sampler sensor; the results indicate moderate concentrations. Likewise, the monitoring of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) was carried out, measured with a sensor-fan (laser particle counter) whose result also indicates values ??within the environmental quality standards.
