Abstract

This work proposes a methodological guide to optimize the work practices of students of the Bachelor's Degree in Civil Construction Engineering at the Saurimo Polytechnic Institute. In this way, it seeks to promote the practical application of the knowledge acquired in academic training, for the benefit of society and as a contribution to the socioeconomic development of the province and municipality of Saurimo. The main objective of the guide is to guide the teaching staff of the program in the improvement of work practices, in order to strengthen the appropriation of skills, knowledge and professional values by students. Additionally, it seeks to take advantage of the results of research and studies for the efficient management of actions in construction processes, obtaining relevant information on the territory and technological updating to resolve construction problems. As main findings: the proposal allows a better integration of students in the real professional field, the incorporation of students in the professional processes of companies in the Construction Sector for the acquisition of relevant professional skills for future work performance and this constitutes for teachers a tool for improving work practices; Therefore, it is concluded that this initiative contributes to the training of competent construction engineers, committed to the social and economic development of the country, and prepared to face the challenges of the construction sector in the current context.
