Abstract

This study examines the perceptions of residents of Las Yayas, in the Herrera-La Chorrera district, regarding the expected benefits of constructing a baseball field for the community. A survey was administered to a random sample of 140 people (75 men, 59 women). For this article, one of the most relevant questions for the respondents was selected: "How necessary was the project for the community?" The results revealed a strong positive expectation: 45% (63 of 140) considered the construction of the baseball field necessary for the community. Of this group, 38.1% (24 of 63) were women and 53.97% (34 of 63) were men. The percentage of women in the sample who support the construction is 17.1% of the total (24 of 140), while the percentage of men is 24.3% of the total (34 of 140), indicating significant support for the initiative.
