The purpose of the research was to analyze the good writing in scientific essays published in indexed journals of the University of Panama. The quantitative approach, type of field research, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, with a descriptive, cross-sectional scope is considered. Data collection techniques: observation and survey. As an instrument, the questionnaire. The population/sample (36) academic peers who have worked as external referees in the journals: Tecnociencias, Scientia and Societas. Validation through expert judgments. The data were tabulated using the SPSS version 11.5 program. As final considerations, the opinion of the referees, where they state that the writing of the essays that are presented have not been good; the authors have had to pay attention to the observations corresponding to: global semantic content, this being improvable, as well as the composition of the text and, the grammatical, coherent and cohesive aspects that present high levels of deficiencies.
