The province of Los Ríos belongs to the coastal region, landlocked, it is one of the 24 provinces registered by the Republic of Ecuador, with an economy based mainly on agricultural activities, it has a total population of 778,115 inhabitants with homes with internet in number of 10,082, according to the 2010 population and housing census. On July 1, 2020, the province of Los Ríos registered 2,284 confirmed cases of COVID-19, out of a total of 58,257 positive cases nationwide (MSP, 2020), which represents 3.9% of the totality of this viral pathology. Research on healthy lifestyles in the prevention of infectious disease by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, taught virtually with theoretical/practical courses socialized in virtual classes to the residents of the communities of the province of Los Ríos, while they remained in Social isolation will make it possible to reduce the problem of unfavorable lifestyles in the face of COVID-19, which could trigger changes in the state of health of the inhabitants of the rural and peripheral communities of the cantons of the province of Los Ríos. The research was carried out from August 2020 to April 2022, 38 teachers from the Faculty of Health Sciences, 635 students, 3206 study subjects who were trained virtually participated.
