Abstract

The Graduate Monitoring System of the Technical University of Babahoyo is in charge of maintaining direct communication between the IES, the graduates and society in general in order to know the current labor demands according to the needs to create means that allow them to be recruited by public and private employers. At the same time, create links between professionals to exchange work and personal experiences that contribute to the feedback of the academic offer and management of link projects with the community environment. Therefore, this study has the purpose of analyzing the employability and occupational demand of professionals based on the results of the follow-up of graduates. The research method applied is descriptive-exploratory in order to describe aspects related to the employment of IES professionals, in addition, observation techniques and surveys were applied to gather information, and the study carried out by the INEC on the country's employment and unemployment rate, as well as the technological tools or media that professionals used most frequently to access job offers. According to the aforementioned, the results obtained from periodic surveys indicate that there are professionals who are working directly related to their training profile, which is based on theoretical bases that the careers with the highest labor demand were technical, health and social in the 2021 period.
