The purpose of this study is to determine the baseline to develop projects to link the Nursing Career, Faculty of Health Sciences, Technical University of Babahoyo 2020, as a first stage, of the designs of the projects whose purpose is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the province of Los Ríos, to achieve well-being in the families and community through the increase in correct knowledge about the management of their health, the methodology applied in the study was quantitative and was carried out through the application of a initial diagnostic survey to residents of the sectors of the province of Los Ríos by students and professors of the Nursing Career. The study had a descriptive character. The questions were aimed at inquiring about access to community health services, the most frequent pathologies that affect the inhabitants, perception and management of health, knowledge of the inhabitants about ancestral medicine and first aid care. The results show a high incidence of respiratory conditions, diabetes, and arterial hypertension, in conclusion, the baseline was established that serves to develop linking projects for the Nursing School of Health Sciences.
