Abstract

This paper is an attempt to recount the history of the various academic publications that have seen light in the University of Panama since its creation in 1935, until today. A bibliographic and documentary review of magazines, periodicals, bulletins, yearbooks, reports, and other means used to disseminate critical reflections has been carried out, reviews and scientific research in various areas of knowledge at the institutional level. A classification has been established for each of these publications by historical stages. There was an important evolution and development of publications in the period from 2000 to the present, marking in this period, the introduction of the Open Journal Systems platform as a catalyst for scientific publications in terms of quality and quantity improvement.
