The present work studies the strategy developed by Panama regarding vaccine tourism. Having strongly felt the effects of the crisis generated by Covid-19, and once it reached optimal levels of vaccination among its population, the Caribbean country has devised a program focused on encouraging the visit of people who wish to be immunized against the virus, as long as when they meet certain requirements, including staying in hotel establishments authorized for this purpose by the health authority. Through the work, the effects generated by Covid-19 in the tourism sector, the trend represented by vaccine tourism, the innovative tourism model that Panama has been developing in recent years, and its tourism promotion strategy are reviewed. of vaccines.
