The objective of this research is to describe, through the lyrics of the "people's singer", the vision of Panamanian´s people, their lifestyle, their identity, their culture, their customs, and their expression form. This research is qualitative nature - descriptive, documentary and linguistic, since the voices, the lexicon, the popular jargon were analyzed, and their particular meaning is explained. The results show that, in the songs of this well-known singer-songwriter, a great lexical richness is reflected, which serves to portray and characterize, with great mastery, the characters of the town. It is concluded that the language is a little bit flexible, in terms of its use, but this flexibility depends on the people and the social environment where it is used.
