Abstract

In order to know the characteristics and the perception that the graduates have during their professional training at the Technical University of Babahoyo, in relation to the skills acquired and the demands in the labor market, a follow-up process was carried out on the graduates. of the Clinical Psychology Career of the Faculty of Social Legal Sciences and Education of the academic period November 2020 - March 2021. For this purpose, non-experimental research was used, with a descriptive design, through the use of the diagnostic survey SAG00 that was applied to 58 graduates, through the Graduate Monitoring System. It was established that the highest percentage of graduates are female (70.69%) and 37.93% are from the Babahoyo Canton, where 70.69% belong to the urban area and 29.31% belong to the rural zone. 91.38% are satisfied with having developed several general skills, 98.27% feel satisfied with the teaching staff for the ability to articulate theory with professional practice. In relation to the employment situation, 98.28% of the graduates are unemployed. 81.03% feel emotionally identified with the institution. Regarding accessibility to academic and health spaces, 32.76% consider it to be unsatisfactory, 51.72% consider it to be satisfactory and 15.51% consider it to be very satisfactory. The results described in this study are a fundamental basis for the decision-making process.
