This article presents the interrelation between pedagogical models, initial teacher training in Normal Schools and pedagogical practice in the classroom emphasizing the significant impact of these educational models in the specific place where they materialize, that is, the classroom. The central objective is to analyze these categories in the specific context of education in Colombia. From the methodological perspective, the article is based on a documentary or bibliographic review. This methodological approach involves the rigorous collection and selection of information, which is articulated in a coherent way with the object of study. Presenting these aspects in a comprehensive way is expected to contribute to the reflection and continuous improvement of initial teacher training in Colombia, promoting a more effective correlation between the proposed pedagogical models and their implementation in the reality of the classrooms.
