We present the results of the analysis of the role of astronomy as a didactic tool in physics teaching, exploring its impact on student interest, the development of critical thinking and the understanding of fundamental concepts. For this purpose, academic databases were consulted to identify relevant studies that proposed methodologies or educational experiences focused on the integration of astronomy in physics teaching. The selected works were classified into four areas of analysis: teaching, interest, interdisciplinarity and student perceptions. The results show that the incorporation of astronomical content in the physics curriculum has a high potential to enrich learning, increase motivation and transform teaching practices in science.
