The present study assesses the use of empowerment and participation technologies of pharmaceutical professionals working in the pharmacy of Hospital Regional Doctor Luís “Chicho” Fábrega, as tools of the health system that favor the search for greater participation of the outpatient and hospital patients in the improvement of their health. This research was developed on the basis of a retrospective, descriptive and cross- sectional study, where the information was processed in the statistical program Statistical Package for Social Sciences. From a total of 10 pharmacists surveyed, it was determined that the majority of pharmacists consider the use of Pharmacy 2.0 tools to be useful for the development of their professional practice; However, 80.0% of the pharmacists surveyed indicated that they do not have sufficient training regarding the use of these tools. In this regard, all respondents indicated that they need to update their training in the use of these computer resources.
