This article is a practical approach to common problems of legal translation in our context. The problems are presented through a study of legal texts with their complexities, inherent to their role in law. Different problems are discussed as they affect translation and the explaining of rules, criteria and legal thought from both The Continental Law and The Common Law. Ten of them are identified as very common ones, and possible solutions are suggested.
