Abstract

This research entails carrying out a study that links the variables academic implications and approval of admission tests, especially in the Faculty of Business Administration and Accounting of the University of Panama, 2019. According to the configuration of the study, the objective The final objective is to determine what factors affected the students so that they did not achieve the necessary rate of admission to the faculty and be sent to a reinforcement course for leveling. Observing this problem, a survey was carried out among the 300 students who were in the reinforcement course of Spanish and mathematics. Among the findings found in this research, we can point out that 79% of the students surveyed are female and 21% male. 80% of the surveyed students come from public schools and 20% from private schools. 49% indicated that these contents presented were not developed in their schools. It is important that the student presents an adequate preparation in the essential subjects in order to pass the University admission exams, for which it is necessary to carry out periodic evaluations of the students in the Secondary Schools.
