For a better understanding of the historical data of the Isthmian press, the School of Journalism of the Justo Arosemena Institute, which had its first graduation in 1956, divided its study by epochs. In this way, it places the newspapers already mentioned in the First Period and attributes to them clearly independent and patriotic tendencies.
