Abstract

The purpose of the research was to analyze the use of the microstructure, macrostructure and superstructure in the writing of expository texts developed by the students of the subject Language and Communication in Spanish at the University of Panama, year 2022. Methodologically, the quantitative approach was used, field type with descriptive design. The intervention was carried out in the Faculty of Humanities. The sample consisted of thirty-six (36) students who studied Language and Communication in Spanish in the summer period of 2022. The data collection techniques: documentary analysis and the survey, as instruments, the qualified practice was applied. For validity, content or expert judgments are considered. For data analysis descriptive and percentage interpretation. As conclusions: The lack of knowledge that students have about the use of microstructure, macrostructure and superstructure in the writing of expository texts was diagnosed, the discursive deficiencies in the textual structures were determined and recommendations were generated to improve these deficits in the writing of texts.
