Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show the initial results of the research entitlet “Emotions in teaching- learning as a mediation strategy to enhance the learning of mathematics in the competence of modeling

and problem solving in high school students of public institutions in the municipality of San Carlos, Córdoba in Colombia”. This research is developed from a qualitative approach and in order to gather, data there will be carried out interviews, direct observation and document analysis. This article presents some reflections about emotions and their influences in the field of math teaching, which the teachers will take into account as a strategy to improve the teaching of mathematics in their pedagogical practice and in any context in which it is developed. This Will allow students develop their competences, solve problems and have an integral formation.
