Abstract

With the objective of designing a manual for the induction and socialization of the human-academic resource, which contributes to their adaptability and work performance in the development of their academic-teaching career, when entering through the formal database contest at the Regional University

Center of Veraguas, an online form was applied remotely through the institutional email during the months of June-July of the year 2022, to 119 teachers who participated in this process for the period 2023. 82.35% (98) responded to said survey, which compiled the results of the Faculty and Career, knowledge about the Institutional Philosophy, the rules of the University Statute, Regulations for Evaluation of Executions, Teaching Organization and the Academic Structure (Department / Areas) to which it applies. As a conclusive aspect, it was determined that 89.79% (88) consider that the lack of a process of induction, socialization and orientation in the management of the norms and procedures that are executed within the institution linked to it, affects the development of adaptability and academic, work and professional performance as a university teacher.
