Abstract

Se informa sobre nuevos registros de capturas de presas para Sagenista kimseyorum Bohart, 2000, basados en observaciones realizadas en las riveras del lago Gatún, provincia de Colón, República de Panamá. Se observó una hembra de S. kimseyorum cuando transportaba, de forma individual, un espécimen paralizado hacia su nido. Las dos presas fueron identificadas como Colgorma sp. (Hemiptera: Tropiduchidae) y Flatoidinus sp.? (Hemiptera: Flatidae). Se brindan detalles sobre comportamiento y estructura del nido. Se informan registros de distribución para Sagenista cayennensis (Spinola, 1841) en Perú y Sagenista scutellaris (Spinola, 1841) en Bolivia.

New prey records are reported for Sagenista kimseyorum Bohart, 2000, based on observations made on the shores of Lake Gatun, Colon province, Republic of Panama. A female S. kimseyorum was observed individually transporting paralyzed specimen to her nest. The two prey were identified as Colgorma sp. (Hemiptera: Tropiduchidae) and Flatoidinus sp.? (Hemiptera: Flatidae). Details on behavior and nest structure are provided. Information on distribution records for Sagenista cayennensis (Spinola, 1841) in Peru and Sagenista scutellaris (Spinola, 1841) in Bolivia are given.
