The Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and the adaptation of the principles of the Geostatistics are described. They are technologies used in Precision Ecology in order to analyze density and spatio-temporal organisms distribution. Likewise, the advantages of these technologies, with respect to other traditional statistical methods for similar studies, using dispersion indeces, are discussed. As an example, the analysis of the structure and spatial continuity of Empoasca fabae, is presented.
