The I vs V curve, fill factor and efficiency of a 6Vcc, 50mAh RadioShack brand polycrystalline solar cell module with 277-1205 encapsulation were determined. This, with a constant irradiance value of 217W/m2 (24,3°C) coming from a 200W incandescent bulb at a distance of 13,0cm. Keeping in mind that these were not the STC conditions, the voltage and current values ??of the solar cell module were measured by connecting different resistors in parallel. Subsequently, the I vs V curve was constructed and a simple diode model was created. With these data, the corresponding power for each adjusted resistance was calculated. Finally, with the maximum power obtained (114,60mW), the open circuit voltage, the short circuit current and the surface of said module, the fill factor and the energy conversion efficiency were calculated, which were 0,60 and 23,7%, respectively. These results were compared with previous studies in which STC conditions were not used and also with studies in which STC conditions were used. These comparisons reflected two facts, the first is that under STC conditions, the fill factor will be greater than the one obtained. And the second is that the efficiency value obtained may vary due to the non-linearity between the maximum power generated and the incident irradiance.
