Abstract

The purpose of this work is to serve as a prelude to the introduction of public policy in one of the legal concepts that has had an immeasurable impact on the compensation and economic justice for those who dedicated their lives to the education, training, and development of athletes who will join the workforce of the growing training industry.

With this institution of training compensation, we will demonstrate the significant opportunity it has become for clubs, academies, and schools to have the opportunity to receive substantial income within professional football, which in other times would have been unthinkable that these economic rights could be protected through an institution that regulates this activity.

Finally, we cannot overlook the legal significance of the term 'professional footballer,' establishing the basic principles that it should not be considered a mere qualifier due to the implications it has in the labor sphere and the potential indemnities that may arise when a player registers as a professional for the first time.
