Abstract

A leader is a person with the ability to exert influence over others to guide and direct them toward the achievement of common goals, whether organizational, sports, political or personal. Young people today have very few role models, which makes them vulnerable to wandering the path, plunging into the terrible world of drugs and crime, and losing the opportunity to become guides for the development of their communities. This article hopes to show all the phases of the public health nursing intervention project that highlights the educational activities carried out as health promotion strategies in a group of 20 young people between the ages of 12 and 24, dedicated to volunteering at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in the township of Sorá, district of Chame. After going through a process of identification of needs using an instrument for the collection of information, priority was given to the problems of this population, followed by strategic planning of educational interventions that culminated with the integration and development of 5 health and wellness stations through a circuit where youth leaders enhanced their knowledge in aspects that responded to their interests and will become the gear that moves their community.
