This work presents a review of the book "Enseñando y aprendiendo a desarrollar software desde el pensamiento complejo" (Teaching and learning software development through complex thinking), authored by Ramón Ventura Roque Hernández. The book was published in Mexico in the year 2021 by Fontamara publishing house. The book addresses the teaching-learning processes of computer programming, influenced by the essence of complex thinking. The book aims to present a broad and integrative vision of the teaching of programming and highlights the importance of the teacher's attitude, experiential and collaborative teaching and the understanding of complexity as an interwoven and multidimensional perspective. The book is divided into two parts. The first part highlights the author's academic experiences and discusses the uncertainties and difficulties of teaching and software development, as well as the essence of complex thinking. In the second part, the author summarizes the importance of experiential and collaborative teaching of programming, as well as various ways to work and interact in the classroom. The main findings in the practical application of these approaches are also mentioned. The text leaves an open path for reflection and action, with the hope that the book will be useful for building beneficial perspectives for each reader in their own context.
